I was so excited to find this. I can see these gaining popularity in the near future. One can hope anyway. 20181103_173448.jpg 20181103_172539.jpg 20181103_173219.jpg I have found a few Lincolns with this but this is my first dime. Not even sure what to call it. Feeder finger damage. @mikediamond

feeder fingers leave rings, this is from the mint...like it didnt strike hard enough (possible concave),

It struck hard enough to force metal into the torch, and into Roosevelt's hair on the obverse. Those lines look like die abrasions, that's a high spot on the die and something scratched it pretty bad.

Slightly mis aligned die strike on the obverse as well.

could be die gouges caused by a foreign substance dragged across die surface - http://www.error-ref.com/die-gouges/ , or possibly feeder finger damage, altho i believe these are usually diagonal..

That's a pretty great find. I now picture the torch on a cliff and the sea is in the background. :artist:

That is very cool looking, I have coins with bright spots and grooves from what I believe is feeder finger rubs, but that is some major scratching.
