Hello All, Here is another small group of error coins I wanted to post on here to see if anyone has any comments on the type of error, rarity, value, whether it's worth it to be graded, etc. As always, any comments are greatly appreciated and any discussion is encouraged. NOTE: Error #29 weighs 5.0 grams. The 1999P Jefferson nickel is for size comparison only. Now to the coins..... ERROR #29 ERROR #30 ERROR #31 THANK YOU.
Nice off-center Mercury dime. For the 1976 Bicentennial Quarter, I am curious about the reverse. Still thinking how the lower strike at 5-6 o'clock position (see the word "Dollar") can be the topmost strike, when the leftmost strike on the word "America" seems to be on top.
Thanks for the Mercury 10c compliment. As for the 1976 25c, I'm a bit perplexed about the doubling and the positioning as well. I'm hoping someone will be able to identify the error.
I love the bicentennial quarter. I am not an errors guy, but the bicentennial series revved my coin engine when I was a kid. And that is a very unique looking piece. Very cool!
I also like the design on the bicentennial quarter. The colonial drummer design evokes a sense of patriotism in the USA that seems to slowly be slipping away. As for the coin I posted, I am still unsure about the exact mechanics involved in the creation of this error. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
I hope all the members on here and their family/friends are doing well. I plan on putting out another lot of errors soon. I'm still hoping to get some information on this lot, particularly on Error #30. As always, and discussion is encouraged and any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
Here's something to look at while I work on getting another lot on here: Kind of a mess, but in the process or sorting through this batch. Hope to get another lot of some nicer stuff together for you and everyone else to look at. Thank You.
