Hello All, Here is another small group of error coins I wanted to post on here to see if anyone has any comments on the type of error, rarity, value, whether it's worth it to be graded, etc. As always, any comments are greatly appreciated and any discussion is encouraged. Now to the coins..... ERROR #9 ERROR #10 ERROR #11 and #12 ERROR #13 and #14 THANK YOU.
#9 - Struck Through Cloth - Extremely Rare. Definitely send for Attribution! #10 - Previous Clamshell Lamination. The clad was lifted up then it snapped off. - Nice Example but I would not send for Attribution. #11 & #12 - I'm not sure what you are showing #13 - Incomplete Planchet (Clipped Planchet) - Not that rare but rarer on Ike Dollars. Send for Attribution.
I can show you 2 examples of Ike Incomplete Planchets both Bicentennial from my collection. Curved and Straight Clips -
@paddyman98 Thank you for the comments. I believe #11 and #12 are examples of copper-plated zinc cents that are missing the copper plating. I am not sure how rare these could be, but from what I have read, they are difficult to attribute from photos. Any other comments are greatly appreciated and encouraged. I will keep an eye on this and previous related threads of other lots and try to get out another lot of coins on here soon.
Thank you for the reminder - Taken care of. At your convenience, let me know what you think about #11 and #12 being examples of copper-plated zinc cents that are missing the copper plating. Again, thank you for all of your information on these items.
Finding out how to adjust the white balance worked wonders for my photos. Very much appreciated. Thank you.
