Hi all, I have a 1982D penny with weight 3.08. I Believe it to be small date on the coin. I also have some 1982s without mints that weight the 3.10 as suppose to i am told. I will try to post pics but for now if anyone knows anything about these errors, if they are errors , I will appreciate learning All i can from you. I will be trying to get these sold/auctioned if they are worth it to collectors. Opinions needed here to I guess. Lol. I'm not very good at the coin world as you may now know. Thank you
I think you will find your coin is a Large Date and the weight is within tolerance. Not an error. Not a variety. The extremely valuable, very rare and scarce coin is a Denver Small Date on a copper planchet…only 2 are known to exist. But…without pictures we only have your say-so…imo…Spark
