Missprint on 198? Quarter

    Hello,

    Recently aquired a quarter with a missprint on it... It shows the date... 198 and then a blank after the the 8... please inform me of value and rarity... etc... of this coin. Thank you

    I'll start with what everyone else will ask anyway. Can you post a picture?
    At first guess it could be a filled die or post mint damage. A picture will be extremely helpful
