missing partial clad penny 010.jpg I am uncertain as to whether this is an error, or post-mint damage. Because the letters of "one cent" can be seen on the zinc, I tend to think this partial clad was removed before the die struck. I need some professional (or semi- professional) opinions on this, please.

That is one beat up coin post mint damage .There's no such cent as that term no such coin with a partial missing clad layer it;s mostly copper a cent, not like the quarters that were minted after 64 different alloy composition ,those denominations halves, dimes they are clad coins not a cent

The plating has come off exposing the zinc and it's corroding.
