A few months ago I found an interesting coin in circulation. It is a 2011 Native American (Are we allowed to say that?) dollar with no edge lettering. I sent it to ANACS and it came back AU53 and attributed Missing edge lettering. I cannot find a whole lot of info on this. Is it a rare error? I know the 2009 is pretty common. Also how do I go about having it officially acknowledged as an error. New to this site, long time collector. Love error

Actually it is already officially acknowledged as it's now in ANACS database. But if you want to step it up a notch you could send this info to Numismatic News with a photo attachment to see if they would include it in an letters to the editor post or send your info to Ken Potter who might do a write up in a future article for NN. You can also join ANACS "Insiders" club for free and look this up to see if any others have been graded.

Thanks for the help. Does it have a designated error number?

You can look it up by the number on the slab in their search box.

Unlike varieties, errors are not assigned numbers.

Sorry Chris, I guess I was thinking of the slab number.
