I found this earlier today and can't find much info about it. Just curious if it is a rarity, or if it's even worth keeping? The head side of the coin is a little further off than the reverse, but bot sides are misaligned from center. 1415992651417.jpg 1415992730917.jpg

Looks like a bit off center since it is on both the obverse and reverse. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but usually misaligned dies are just on the one side.

Well I didn't know how to describe it, it's off center on both sides. The head side of the coin is more noticeably off than the tail side. Do you know if it's worth more than 10 cents? Lol

    yes, correct.

And this is a tiny bit off center.

I wouldn't consider it enough off center to be worth more than 10 cents.

As a rule, O/C strikes that only involve the rim aren't worth more than face value.

10 Roger! Thanks for the info. I don't know a lot about coins, but I'm really thinking about getting a metal detector and trying to find some old coins from the past. I'm fascinated by old things from long ago..

Haha, I have a couple old ones too. They never seem to stay in the past tho.

Usually, but it is possible to for both sides to be misaligned and sometimes in different directions. Since the neck of the anvil die fits inside the collar it is not possible for it to be misaligned by much.
