I was just looking at coinfacts.com as I was preparing to look through a pile of pennies. I wanted to see what to keep an eye out for in regards to double die and other such rarities. I realized after compiling a short list that nothing from the Denver mint was on the list. As I looked in despair at my pile of pennies, which, due to my location, always contains 90% Denver mint coins, I just KNEW it had to be a conspiracy! I think we need to petition the Denver mint to produce an equally fair share of mint errors. (Lest anybody thinks I'm serious, the above posting was tongue in cheek. )
Yes I know the feeling of almost always finding D mints. In other parts of the country there is a very nice mix. I remember when I was at a stop over in Denver last August there were quarter changing machines and I got a good $10 worth and I'd say the mix of P and D mints for the newer quarters even was about 50/50 almost.
How did you figure that out? I think we may have to do something with you.You know there are tons of grain elevators here and no one will ever find you
i supose i never thought about it but being in indiana i would stand a better chance of getting a Denver than someone in say maine.
It could be worse folks. I believe Ivan from Puerto Rico has to depend on the tourist to bring in new coins.
