I am looking through my Red book and cannot find mintage numbers for silver eagles. do they post this somewhere on the net?

Also looking for mintages for some of the past commemoratives.

Some of the RED BOOKS have the mintage numbers for the ASE---if not the mint website has them somewhere...

guess I can sort of answer my own question I see the mintage number but it only gives one number is this for both uncirc and proof? It looks like you can only buy Proof from the mint where does the uncirc come in to play? am I reading the red book the right way?

My 2005 Red Book shows Silver Eagle mintage numbers through 2001, for both Unc and Proof. The proofs are in parentheses.

it looks like the ones the the W mint mark are the Uncirc. and the P are the Proofs? but I thought they were all made in West Point... how can you tell how many are Proofs from unc.? Does it really matter?

OK I see the Proofs are in Parentasis but my book only goes to 1999 this is my first red book so is there usually a couple year lag on mintage numbers?

I found the spot on the mint web site where it talks mintages about cent, dime, quarter, and dollar (GD) but that is it. Can I just not find numbers for everything else or is there another web site that helps track stuff like this?

That’s true, uncirculated S.E's have to be acquired from second party dealers.

I think was I heard once what the numbers on the Mints Website is the number of coins that were struck on that year...sometimes they strike a coin dated 2003 into a few months of 2004...so therefor the numbers are not 100% true.

That does it for SE thanks Tempus and Bonas, but what about commemeratives I can get the numbers off the recent ones because what the mint posts on there web site but what about years past like specificly 1994 Viatnam 3 coin comm. I can find it in the red book but no mintage numbers...
