I am confused on the mint website. Are they offering ASEs for sale? AGEs? What gold or silver bullion can I buy from the mint? I guess I missed something. I have been buying raw UNC. ASEs for $20 and under.. is that reasonable? Thanks, henry

As far as I know, right now you can't buy ANY bullion coins on the mint site. In the past you could but the W mintmarks Unc ASE and the proof ASE, AGE, and Buffalos for a hefty premium, but none of those are available right now. The true bullion coins that you buy from your local dealers for a modest marked over spot are never sold on the mint website. (The only exception to this were the Lief Ericson millennium set in 2000, the US millennium set in 2000, and there was a coins of freedom set that included a silver eagle and a British Britainnia. all of those sets were sold at a substantial premium. Oddly the British offered a set with the Britainnia and the silver eagle at the same time under a different name and it was much cheaper buying the British version.)
