I just went to the mint's website and it still isn't functioning. I can't believe it! I do website development for a living and there is no way any commercial website should be down that long.... NO EXCUSES. What a joke. The only upside is that MAYBE just MAYBE it will work towards improving their customer service when it comes back up.
Well, it's 12:33 and the Mint website seems to be working. Almost!!! Won't let me log in. After several attempts I finally gave up before they "locked" me out for 24 hrs.! Called the Mint after work and I was told that the Log-In part of the website is not working. They said they hope to have it working by tonight or tomorrow. The mint employee said he tried and he couldn't log-in either.
Whenever the mint website or whatever about them upsets me a little (like postponing the Bison Covers) upsets me, I just take their survey a time or two, clean language of course. Plenty of typing space to vent. Can't they get real. They announced they would fairly distribute limited collectibles over a month ago, why next to the 11th hour do they decide they have to reaccess. I have a feeling these new features on the Mint's catalog will be barely noticeable, or at least not worth the loss of revenue from being down for most of the time over the past week.
Wow! The mint is more goofed up than ever. When you go to their main website, they have taken down the notice that the website is down for maintenance and put up a Flash ad for the new nickel. The site however, still is not functioning. Since the announcement was taken down, I got concerned and called the mint. The girl on the phone was getting a different page than I am when we put in the same URL. She is still getting the old maintenance announcement, and I am getting the nickel announcement. What a mess! Their IT Director should be fired for mismanaging this fiasco.
