So who took the mint survey? It would be interesting to see the results. They did ask about what type of things people like to see on coins - the problem is they did not ask for comments. I don't mind seeing presidents on coinage, but I would like to have told them that I would make it silver dollars. Oh well - I wonder if they will post results of the survey.
I got a letter from the mint asking me to either call or get on-line to take a survey. I tried to take the survey on-line the same day, and it said "Thank you. We have already reached our quota"
I received a letter from the mint with some on-line address. I went there and took the survey without any problems. WOndering how many took the survey.
What survey? "GIVE ME A COINAGE WITH SOME BEAUTY!" We've had mostly past presidents for the last... 50+ years. Let's see some Seated or Walking Liberty coins again. Time for me to Photoshop/MS paint a Walker for you all to critique.
The mint sent me a letter with a web site address to complete a survey. AND if my survey means anything then there will not be any other type of coinage but historical stuff or presidents(feel free to forward me any coinage/money you have with dead presidents on them that you do not like ). I did not like arts, science, sports or any of the other categories they gave you to select from. And I do not want to do anything that has been done before.
Yes - that does help. It took me about 30 minutes to get through all the questions. The letter said is was voluntary and so I guess no 10 bucks for me. Interesting that in all the years that I have been with the mint this is the first survey I got - I just wish there was a place or two to put some freeform text. Thanks again for all the info.
If anyone gets the survey PLEASE mention how mad you are about rerelease of material from years gone by. Thanks.
