I placed an order for the 2008 Sliver Proof Set and Uncirc set and it was sent out today. The order is being sent FedEx Overnight, which is not a big problem.
My question is the mint still shipping to your local Post Office and the USPS delivering?

The only reason I ask is now FedEx is asking for an adult to sign for the package. No one is going to be home to sign for it.

you must have ordered over the amount required by the mint. so they use fedex instead usps. beside it is holiday session. the mint have to deliver before x'mas day. the only different is that you have to sign it for fedex.

My experience with the mint has been that they only use FDX when you order something of extreme value or you request expedited shipping. I think the postal service/DHL alliance is dead. Recently, I have received shipments from the mint via UPS.

Fed Ex will hold your package at a nearby facility, if you request them to do so. You can then pick up the coin at your leisure.

Also, just some friendly advice: Don't post in a public forum when you won't be at home. Especially a coin forum.

DHL is closing all U.S.delivery . They will concentrate on over seas deliveries .
