Is there any added value to a 1888-S silver dollar with a mint mark error? I going this in a family member's collection and they want to know how much it could potentially be worth.

    Thanks

All I see is a well-worn coin that has some circulation damage on the mintmark.

Is the mintmark punched upside down?

Looks normal to me but I don't see anything that would add value to the coin.

I was wondering if the mint mark is upside down? What would be the value regardless?

No one can give you an estimate of the value without seeing photos of both sides.
