Looks like the news of the day is that the mint is going to limit their in person purchases. http://www.coinnews.net/2014/07/31/us-mint-cuts-in-person-kennedy-gold-coin-limit-to-one/
so, just an estimate. If I waste my time & buy one for $1300, how much can I make? Any ideas? Anyone?
Apparently it is $1240 Per the mint web site: 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Gold Proof Coin $1,240.00
I love it, must be giving the big dealers fits. It's about time the mint gave the little guy a fighting chance.
Kinda makes it not worth it as much for me. I was planning on going early and getting 2 per day. Now it is one per day... dang.
That is one of those questions that cannot be answered, except by saying whatever a buyer is willing to pay. Remember, these will be minted to demand. Whoever orders them will get them.
If you ask me, I'd say I don't care how much profit. I'm not buying one anyway. /as if I had the $1240 to buy it..lol
I love it...now it's possible for 250 more fights.... What ticks me off is that close to 5,000 coins will be sold (ANA, 3 KIOSKs)before the internet orders go ISR. Once again they will get their coins to the graders first and make moon $$$. Fair and equal access, hold on, let me put my boots on.
When you think about it, the mint is missing the boat again on this one. Since it’s not a limited mintage, why not initially produce many more than 40k and have no limit on sales at all locations?
