Smart move by the mint. Allow collectors a better chance to get one

Who needs more than 1? Oh yeah, the speculators...

    Smart move, for now.

    so, just an estimate.

If I waste my time & buy one for $1300, how much can I make?

    Any ideas?

    Anyone?

If you get it same day graded PF70 I'm sure there's money to be made.

    I thought just once.

Isn't that the cost for one piece?

    Apparently it is $1240

    Per the mint web site:
50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Gold Proof Coin $1,240.00

I guess HSN will have to quadruple their staff for one day.

I love it, must be giving the big dealers fits. It's about time the mint gave the little guy a fighting chance.

Kinda makes it not worth it as much for me. I was planning on going early and getting 2 per day. Now it is one per day... dang.

    So, for one?

    How much profit?

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

That is one of those questions that cannot be answered, except by saying whatever a buyer is willing to pay.
Remember, these will be minted to demand. Whoever orders them will get them.

If you ask me, I'd say I don't care how much profit. I'm not buying one anyway.

    /as if I had the $1240 to buy it..lol

Is this only going to be made as a proof, no uncirculated?

    I love it...now it's possible for 250 more fights....:D

What ticks me off is that close to 5,000 coins will be sold (ANA, 3 KIOSKs)before the internet orders go ISR. Once again they will get their coins to the graders first and make moon $$$.

Fair and equal access, hold on, let me put my boots on.

Right. The uncircs will be silver.

When you think about it, the mint is missing the boat again on this one. Since it’s not a limited mintage, why not initially produce many more than 40k and have no limit on sales at all locations?
