Mint clipped or forgery? On the obverse, I can see where the size of the rim changes width opposite the location in question. Either way, I'm only into this 195? Coin for a dollar. 20161001_194351_HDR.jpg 20161001_194441_HDR.jpg 20161001_194524.jpg 20161001_194638_HDR.jpg

It looks to me to be PMD. Your 3rd image appears to show the edge tapered a bit (toward the center of the edge). This makes me think that someone may have cut it with nippers. Also, in the 2nd image, the "O" from "OF" appears broader across the top along the edge. I'm thinking that the tool used to cut the coin mashed it a bit. I don't see any evidence of the Blakesley Effect.

Looks like it got the line cutter's treatment.

The Metal was pushed not removed, which would be the sign of a "clipped"
    Planchet

These side cutters make really nice clipped planchets. The jaw leverage, sharp cutting surfaces, and nice cushioned handles make this tool a must have for wannabe error coin makers. Even the toughest clad coin is no match for this pair of side cutters. Buy them new, when they are sharp. The ones at the pawn shop are usually dull.

Your best evidence is above the S on the reverse rim, where the cut ended and they had to "yank" it a bit to remove the clip.
