Hello everyone and hopes for a happy new year. I have a question and would appreciate some feedback. I recently purchased a somewhat expensive PCGS coin set via the internet. On one of the slabs I noticed a small blemish or air bubble looking obstruction in the central focal area of one of the coins. It is small, some would say barely noticeable flaw in the slab. it is not on the coin but on the slab. Should I be concerned or am I being a bit nit picky. Not anything I am going to loose any sleep over but would appreciate some opinions. Thanks
If it is distracting to the coin, I would probably send it back for re-slabbing. Maybe PCGS will slab it at no cost if it is a defect on the slab. You should contact their customer service and see what they tell you.
+1 to that. they will reslab cheap for scratched/damaged slabs but If that's a defect from them I would ask for a free reslab, maybe you pay to mail.
Let the seller know you are unhappy with one of the slabs; perhaps they will reholder it for you. This happened to me on a Teletrade auction, and they paid for the PCGS reholdering and all shipping to and from. Regardless, I would get it fixed as that blemish will grow on you over time. TC
