    I was looking on E-Bay at the "rolls" of state quarters and came across this auction for Minnesota State Quarters, Philadelphia mint. The auction said there was a possibility of errors. Has anyone ever heard of this: "DDR" errors? Errors #s 4, 10, 16, 23, 35, 46? Could anyone please tell me what "DDR" errors are, or the" number errors" ?
    Thanks people! You all have been a GREAT help in the past when I've asked dumb questions! Remember.....I've had 3 brain tumors, so be gentle!! Thanks again!

    Also, I thought that the only error that the grading services recognize is the Wisconsin D mint with the high leaf or the low leaf? Thanks.

    swick:
    DDR= Double Die reverse
    DDO = Double die obverse.
    Error numbers normally mean the #1st, 2nd etc of that date & mint that was discovered and logged as an error.
    For example the 1972 DDO #1 Lincoln cent is the major double die, there are a few others and they are #2, #3, etc.
    Usually the major DD's are the first found, and are the most valuable for each year.
    As far as states quarters go, the mint claimes that there are no DD's but several experts have claimed to have identified a few. (I forget the state, someone will answer shortly, I am sure, but it had to do with the trees). Yup, Minnesota

    There, not too taxing, and there are no dumb questions, only those where you already know the answers.

    Thank you Treasurehunt & OAKS!

    Like you said....no dumb questions, but I feel like such a rookie! There sure is a lot of different information to know and learn about coins! Thanks again!
