Military Payment Certificates and my 8000th Post!

Hi All.. Welcome to my 8000th Post!

Thanks to this wonderful CoinTalk forum and all that it is about. We share and learn. We agree and argue. We enjoy our friendships. I am very glad to be part of this amazing group! I will always do my best to give of my knowledge and respect others more than ever.. (that's for the members who have called me obnoxious ).. ​

I want to give special thanks to CoinTalk Member @lettow who a few weeks ago sent me these Military Payment Certificates. I purchased a few of my own at my local flea market and have been interested in them and Military Base tokens also. Included in his gift to me was a neat Brazilian 1 CRUZEIRO which will go with my World Paper Currency collection.

Nice variety you got there are you starting up a collection or starting a certain
Series ? My favorite is the Series 681 and strangely is the only complete series
that depicts anything Military, here are a few examples.

 

As you can see having some issues with my computer and loading will fix and post more later.

in the same venue, Philippine guerillas issued their own currency during the war against the Japanese in WWII. These notes are decently scarce, fairly inexpensive and available in hundreds of types and varieties.

 

Congrats on completing 8,000 posts paddyman98! I myself am looking forward to completing my 1,000 post this year.
