Hey guys, I will be there at about the same time Friday so if you see me say hi and introduce yourself. I will be wearing a black over the shoulder bag (looks like a portable computer bag that I used back in college) and on the shoulder strap I have pinned a copy of the trading card that my avatar comes from. Here is a picture of the full card so you know what to look for:

My real name is Chris, I'm 6'2" 250lbs and I have a gotee. You wont be able to miss me if you are looking for me.

I will be there from about 10-3. I'm planning on going back on Saturday pending the outcome of my Friday trip, so you may see me there then too.

For those who may be lurking here, I am young and poor and this is a looking and learning trip for me so I will be carrying NO cash and I won't have any coins on me worth more than a couple of dollars, so please look for a bigger fish to harass!

true enough, but I expect that most of you in your mind's eye picture the Cave Troll when you think about me and not the image in my profile, lol!

sorry I missed you, actually didn't see Carl either. I did see YN_Coinpro and we chatted for a few minutes and we discussed how your description of yourself didn't help much as we looked around and saw dozens of overweight bald guys with glasses and gotees ;) We decided walking up to all of them and asking if they were you didn't sound like a lot of fun :) Actually I had a good time and I'm still up in the air about whether I'll go back tomorrow or not.

I picked up a few cheap unc coins for my type set (MS 1913 T1 Buff, MS 1939S Jeff, MS rainbow toned 1976S silver quarter, 2006S Jeff, plus a few others) all of which were pretty cheap and will fill their holes nicely! Al in all a successful trip. One of the highlights for me was the complete Pan-Pac commem set that RCW had for sale ($50 Round, $50 octagonal, $2.50 gold, $1 gold, and silver half dollar) all in spectacular condition, it was beautiful!

At the KY show KLJ and myself were going to meet one year and I didn't see him---come to find out he was there before me and left before me but anyway there was one guy that had a gotee so I went up and asked if he was from the CoinTalk forums....he gave me the look like....get away from me nut....
But the next year we did end up meeting!

At 6'2" 250lbs I do not believe there are many people who are going to won't to be a problem around you.

This is true, but I tend to be relatively introverted with new people and problems or not I would have been WAY out of my comfort zone lol

My daughter is with the in-laws this weekend and I was able to sleep in this morning (A truely rare occurance with a 2 year old in the house) but now I'm off to the show again.

P.S. for anyone who wants to avoid the $15 parking fee there is a nice residential area about 1/2 a mile SW of the convention center if you don't mind the 8 minute walk. That's an extra 15 dollars that I can spend on coins and books!

I only saw The_Cave_Troll there and yes we talked a bit. He's a pretty cool and friendly guy; The_Cave_Troll.

I bought about 25 coins in all mostly all Barbers: 7 Barber Dimes, 6 Barber Quarters, 9 Barber Halves, 1 Half Dime, 1 Classic Head Large cent, and a Silver 3 Cent piece. That all probably cost me $150, but I was able to offset the cost my selling a duplicate coin for $80. All-in-all pretty good time. None of the coins are outstanding gems, but solid G-VF's. They all filled gaps in the old collection. Now it's off to Colorado on the 8th for the Summer Seminar. That's going to be another $200. Come-on guy's I'm not made of money here.

The show died at about noon on Saturday. Boy-if you didn't go on Friday, then you missed a lot of opportunities.
