    Numista-74745, KM-88.2a.

Struck at the Mexico City mint during the Spanish Colonial period, in the reign of Charles III of Spain.

There is an old scratch on the obverse which is not immediately apparent since it follows the contour of the king's neck. The coin is otherwise attractive with decent toning.

Nice coin, LM. I agree the toning is agreeable -- just what I would want with a coin of this age and wear. Too bad about the scratch. Once you see it, it is quite difficult to un-see it.
