Here's a recent find off ebay. The seller's pictures were blurry, but I thought I could just make out the overdate. Fortunately, I scored this time--it's in great condition and the 1/0 is easy to see. As for Krause calling it an 1910/00...this coin wasn't minted in 1900. So either it was a mistake dating the die, or a die was reused from 1905-9. Given the right side of the "0" is missing, it's easy to imagine another digit could be totally polished away. There's some nice toning on this coin! Here's the date area itself in case it's hard to see above: Krause gives it a nice premium--I paid a normal MS60 price.
Thanks! You never get to choose the grade when hunting for overdates, so I'm pretty jazzed about this coin! The small obverse rim cud at 9:00 might be another marker for pickup on this overdate.
