I just bought a 1872 one peso from a small local shop. I only paid $11.00 for it. i tested it, and it is indeed silver. The values really vary for it in the 3 different listings.
    How do i tell what mint mark variety it is? it has a 1872CH P/M. a 1872CH P. a 1872CH M. and 1872/1CH M.
The only mint mark i see on it is Mo M. I'm hoping it is the ch p/m but not holding my breath. I will post pics as soon as i can. it has some wear on it, but overall decent condition, the libertad on the cap is still mostly readable. thanks in advance.

After researching more i see that there is a Mo M mint mark listed as km# 408.5 . it is probably this one. what would the value for kn 408.5 be in around grade 50?

It's pointless to comment on your coin without clear pics. But, if the mint mark reads CH then this is most certainly not a genuine coin.
