    Welcome to the forum! :)

In 1950 (KM#457) the composition was .3000 silver and .1285 copper.

From 1951-1956, I'm not showing any minted but the Krause 4th edition has been known to have its problems.

In 1957, there were two different peso coins struck. Both contained .1000 silver. KM458 has a duel date and a left-facing bust. KM#459 has a right-facing bust.

    1958-1967 (KM#459) all contained .1000 silver.

According to my November 2004 COINS magazine 1967 was the last year for silver in the circulating One Peso coin. 1970 is the first year listed for copper-nickel alloy. In 1984 there was a switch to stainless steel. Reform coinage (1992 and later) Nuevo Peso is bi-metallic with a stainless steel ring and aluminum-bronze center.

There are some 0.999 silver pesos listed for 1992 and later but they appear to be proofs and special mint issues.
