I love the eagle on Mexican coins.
I don't normally collect varieties. It just doesn't interest me.
Only slightly related I got an Peso in MS67 for my birth year: 1957. It has stunning lustre....
My 1957 is probably my worst in the series. I'd like to upgrade but don't want to pay eBay prices so I'm hoping to find one in the wild.
I like train stuff and this piece caught my eye at Club show
Anyway, back to the OP - I have noticed some really nice graded pesos of this vintage to come up recently....
Here's one you'd like, but es muy caro. In other words it isn't cheap.
"Say, Mister. Will you stake a fellow American to a meal?"
One like it:
Mexico peso 1924
Silver, 34 mm, 16.68 gm
My mistake, I meant to post this in the new acquisition thread. All apologies to the OP. Maybe @lordmarcovan can move it for me?
It’s very cool! Great set you got up there, how much time did you have into gathering it all up? (Apologies again for the mis-post up above. I had the wrong thread.)
I focused on building my Mexican set for maybe five years. It wasn't the only thing I was working on but was a main area of focus. Not just pesos but all coins. Then over the years as I would see a chance to upgrade I'll replace one here or there.
Me too. All nice coins
