I have run across this mexican (I think) coin. Its silver in color with the same information on the obverse and reverse (as pictured). Its about 16.2 mm and weighs 1.6 g. It bears the date 1921. I found a coin in the 1901-2000 Standard Catalog that is gold 2 1/2 pesos KM# 463 that has the same obverse, but a different reverse. I'm wondering if this is a fake, counterfeit, or a joke. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be greatly appreciative. Regards....Bill

I am not sure which of the 3 it is, but it is not an official coin. Mexico did not issue the gold 2 1/2 peso coin in 1921, only until 1920, and then restruck after 1944. The reverse would identify it as Mexico, and a double headed on would not, thus making it not an official production. Being of a silver color, I would guess a novelty 2 headed token.
