I found this coin while searching a roll of Kennedy Half dollars---I have no idea how it got there, but here it is-- Could someone tell me more about it? What metal is it minted---nickel? It is not magnetic--- Is this a collectable coin? Any idea of value? Mexico 1 peso from 1970. Copper-Nickel featuring Jose Morelos y Pavon. Comes in narrow and wide date varieties. 102,715,000 minted. I believe yours is the more common wide date. UNC values in my somewhat older Krause are <1.00 for wide date and $7 for the narrow date (if you can find someone who is collecting varieties).
