Hello everyone, Welcome to my 63,000 likes celebration thread! I would like to thank @Heavymetal for helping me reach that goal! Well it actually happened today. My title of Silver Coin finds King which I have held for about 5 years, was taken away from me by one of the members of our Metal Detecting club - The Dirty Diggin Nuts Joe Spinz went out today and found his first ever Franklin Half Silver! He also found 3 other silver coins. That made his total for 2023 of 51 silvers.. I was ahead all year but reached only 48 silver coins. I have the flu so I've been stuck indoors for the past 3 days Congratulations to my buddy Joey Spinela for the club silver King title for 2023! He's the dude on the right My biggest silver total was 116 a few years ago.
Congratulations to Joey for dethroning you. I west you the best in recovery from the flu. If you can get out you may find 3 or 4 and become the Silver King again. After all you have 7 days left in the year. Sorry you were knocked out of that spot but there’s always next year.
nice find guys, my Garret ace 400 went out on me early in the year and haven't replaced it yet. Not sure if I will because the laws are becoming more restrictive in my area.
I hope your illness clears up quickly and does not interfere with your having a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Salud on the 63 K likes ! Espero que te mejores pronto. I understand you're trying to lose some kilos, but since it's the holidays, a poquito quesito y coquito can be forgiven.
Get better! 48 silvers in a year is respectable, even if it didn't quite put you on top. You've had a good year! What's your cumulative grand total so far? I forget offhand how I did in all my diggin' days, but think I got close to the 200 mark as far as silvers go. I know I dug more than a roll's worth (50+) Mercury dimes. (Never got tired of those, either.) Congrats to Joe Spinz for his Franklin half. In all my diggin' days, I only found one (a 1952, dug in Neptune Park, St. Simons Island, GA, near where there used to be an old Ferris Wheel). Congrats also to Joey Spinela for the Silver King title victory! He only narrowly beat you. (I note from his cap that he's a member of the Garrett Mafia, as I used to be.) What a wonderful thing to have a club of like-minded fellows. Some of my happiest days were spent out there, putting the coil to the soil with buddies. Best of luck for 2024, and here's hopin' that one day you'll roll that plug over and a gold quarter-eagle or half-eagle will pop out! You know they're out there...
