Metal Detecting - Huge Japanese Silver (Not my find)

Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago before I left to the detecting event in Rock Hill South Carolina, one of the guys from our Metal Detecting Club sent us in our messaging application a video of a coin he detected in Brooklyn's Prospect Park NYC.

Wow! So I guess in that era the yen was pretty close to 1:1 with the dollar, as opposed to today's 100-150:1.

 

Cool looking coin! If coins could talk.

 

Tell Carlos well done! What a cool find! I about lost my mind once finding a Morgan pull knob. PS, full size but not real.

 

The year of the Dragon just ended, could that have been someone's pocket piece?
