I posted this in other thread on this site about us metal detectorists getting together after the winter weather coorperates. We could have fun meeting each other and sharing some stories and tips. We could have a small inexpensive picnic for a morning or after noon or so in the spring or summer. I'm in Pennsylvania but can travel a little ways. What is everyones though on this? The toughest part, I think, would be finding an area that we can detect legally where it is not too far for many of the members to travel to and a place with potential for finding some antique relics and coins. We have some time so Please post some reasons for and against an outing. We can post out ideas on the open forums for everyone to read and maybe others can come up with some ideas. I did this once with a nationwide detecting club I belong to and it was an absolute blast. The turnout was incredible. We were all sad when the time was over and vowed to have another on soon. Please post some ideas if you are even slightly interested. Thanks. Mark
That idea of it sounds interesting and wouldnt mind traveling too. Especially since you arent to far from me. Trying to find dates where everyone could get together may be an issue but something easily worked around if given enough time.
Mark, GOOD LUCK and try if your area looking for old house then just ask talk to owner if deal then need permission when find coins return to owner or share half or full your keep. Owner and you will work out. Sometime myself make it will not hurt. Just talk. GOOD LUCK
