    Hello Everyone,
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays!

This morning I did a 5 hour Metal Detecting hunt at a local park here in Manhattan NYC. I gifted myself a new coil for my Vanquish 440. The V8 8" inch Double D Coil.

Any Back mark ? OK. Waterbury , CT . Right down the road from me basically . I'll research it . If not they have a historical division there . I contacted them for my Star Button.

My choice has always been a White Detector, we used them in the Park Service at Little Big Horn. I have owned two, an older 600DI Pro and this XLT. You cannot go wrong with them. They hold their value. They are not cheap, but you want the best when your hunting coins etc. Check out White......
    Rich....

Very nice finds. I don't detect much around my area. Waaay too much private land in the oilfield. But I did get a nice Carrot (garrett AT pro pinpointer) and some new digging tools from the wifey for Christmas. Achin' to go hunting!

I have 2 Minelab Detectors. A CTX3030 and my recent Vanquish 440 which is the machine I speak about in my video I provided in the YouTube link.

    Did you watch it? o_O

WTG! Thanks for taking us along. I watched the whole vid. The Merc is lovely. I never, ever got tired of digging those!

Seeing the flash of silver in the dirt like that can quickly make one forget the rain and the cold, eh?

Minelab CTX-3030. Man, every other member in our six-person group on my dig week in England was swinging one of those. (One fella had an XP Deus as his backup machine.)

They all ran absolute circles around me and my Garrett 2500, though how much of their lopsided lead was due to the machine and how much was due to skills is debatable. It was probably both.
