Hello everyone, Time for another overdue Metal Detecting thread 8/22/2023 This past Tuesday I did a 3 hour hunt at my local park where a week before I found a 1941 Mercury Dime. This time I detected a 1902 Barber Dime, a 14K white gold ring and a neat Korean War Marksman medal. Barber Dime - 1902 Gold Ring - Tested 14K Marksman Medal Everything - 3 Wheat Cents on bottom Miscellaneous goodies pictures
So my little island shack is on a small island that was founded in the late 17th century. I have detected every memorial cent and beer can tab on the island.... I know in my heart that there has to be some good finds in the soil..... So what say I fly you down and you show me what the heck I am doing wrong??
Paddy, you could have posted one at midnight last night & it would still be overdue! You amaze me with your finds. Do you ever go further down the island or even out to Montauk? How about the north shore (although you seem to continually mine the city areas quite well!)? You should try the beaches near the Hamptons!
I see you are still very successful in cleaning up those NYC parks. Looks like your off to a good start for next years vacation.
Nice Ed!! Makes me want to come down to the City to get some training from you...and maybe do a bit of fishing!! Love to see your results!!
@paddyman98 , your MD prowess continues to impress. You should market yourself as the Bunny Foo Foo instructor for Dummies. I'd hire you. I totally fit in the Dummy category. So which of your MD's did you use to find these treasures? I can't see exactly from the pic. It looks like the Vanquish. Series?
