    Hello everyone,
Today I did a 7 hour Metal Detecting hunt at 2 new parks. St. Nicholas Park and Morningside Park both in upper Manhattan in Harlem.

    I found 4 US Silver.
    This makes it #69 #70 #71 & #72 for 2021

You're going to need a bigger garage in Manhattan for all those cars you collect!

Smile next time you get a cool bounty, life is short.

Great finds today and good news for the silver finds. I don’t see you having any problems finding 100 silver coins unless you’ve cleaned the parks throughly.

I also think you’re close to having every Matchbox vehicle ever made. :)

I love the medal. Looks like the soil at that park is somewhat kind to coins. I'll bet you go back to this park a few times.

Is there a name inscribed on the medal?
If so, how cool would it be to locate the owner and "repatriate" it.
Good Luck, with this and with future digs.

I checked but there is no name :(

I just realized that I haven't shown the reverse side!

    Thanks.
It rang up with the number 30 on my detector which is usually a clad quarter. I was surprised to have the medal come up since I was expecting it to be a quarter.
Here is the picture of when I found it..

I'm definitely heading back.. When it gets cooler!

I'm still surprised that some ribbon came up when you dug it out. It makes you wonder how long it could have been buried; perhaps someone had lost during a veterans event sometime in the past few decades.
