Hello everyone, Yesterday I attended the 53rd Annual International Numismatic Convention here in NYC. If you haven't seen my thread, you can view it here - 2025 NYINC - 2 Roman Coins & 3 Miscellaneous Foreign Coins | Coin Talk After the NYINC I went out for 2 hours to one of my local parks which is currently under construction (Being sadly destroyed! ) because of improvements in the lower Manhattan flooding zone situation during a major hurricane. I hate it. I think it's a waste of money and a huge loss of a beautiful historical park! Nothing can stop flood waters! The plan is to raze the park and raise it upwards about 10 to 20 feet above the current level it is at. Here are 2 pictures from my mom's apartment. I have metal detected the park for 14+ years, so I have found most of the good items such as silver coins, Wheat Cents, old buttons, jewelry, foreign coins and tons of clad and cents. I found my first ever gold ring there The reason my dirt fishing hunt was only 2 hours was because it started to rain and at the same moment the battery went out on my NOKTA Legend That's a first for me! Here are the finds. Still no silver coins for 2025 1938 Wheat Cent Vintage Hem Weight 10 Cents - 2000 Australia Mint Error??? Just Joking! Everything that I detected, YES in 2 hours! 1 - Sacagawea $1.00 3 - Nickels 13 - Dimes 20 - Quarters 23 - Copper Cents 39 - Copper Plated Zinc Cents Joey
I predict your first silver for 2025 will be a Merc dime. I predict your next breakthrough find will be a Capped Bust half dime or quarter.
