As some of you may know, I'm pretty new to this and don't know much about the different types or years of error coins.

So here I am casing my collection of three mercury dimes, and I'm inspecting them for double die obverse or reverse errors. I then notice that two of the dimes have reverses that are rotated about 10 degrees counter-clockwise. Neither are from the same year or mint. Another weird thing is that the dime without the 10 degree offset is from the same year as one of the dimes with the offset. I don't know what to make of this, so here's a picture for your interpretation: k.jpg

Also, I made sure that it wasn't just the coin turned slightly in the case; the obverses are positioned correctly.

10 degree rotation is within tolerance. (I think your 2 coins is less than 10)
Not enough to be considered a major error. Common IMHO

In the same year they use more than 1 Die. This goes for all coins.

Yeah, I didn't think it was an error since they're both rotated the same amount (that's what it looks like anyway). But you're saying coins back then had that much variation between them?
