Mercury dime grade.

    I cashed in my metal detected clad ($15) and bought 2 really cheap coins, they were two BU mercury dimes. I was amazed by the quality of one of them. It had very few contact marks. What do you think the grade is. Here are some pictures.

    Nice strike from a die whom was near its end. I see alot of orange peeling going on both the Obv. & Rev.And it looks to be full bands too. I say BU at least don't know how they would grade the orange peel effect.

    I'd say MS-64 , nice coin .

    It looks dipped to me. What's with that E in LIBERTY?

    Don't the center bands also have to be split to be considered full bands?

    Yep and this coin doesn't come close . Paddy does know his coins , something tells me he sees something we don't .

    Id say MS 63 and not full bands for sure.
