I been looking at my 1916 dime and can't come to a conclusion where there´s a mint mark on the coin. So any input is appreciated. album link http://img15.imageshack.us/g/dsc00173i.jpg/
The D mint mark is set in closer to the stem of the laurel wreath and is in a wear line with the tops of the letters in ONE, so even extremely worn surfaces such as this coin, the mint mark is still revealed. If you still think there is a mint mark present, it is in the wrong place, too large and was probably added by moving the surface metal to form a crude D. Happy Collecting
