This looks like a die crack. What do you think? The rim seem extra wide . I know it is worn ,but still looks wide to me. 1916 Mercury Head .Mint mark looks like a “S”. I seen NO mint mark with my cheap magnifying glass. After scanning I could see what looks like a “S”. Could not get any clearer with a bigger image .
Well I can't see any mint mark in the photo. The rim seems wide because of the heavy circulation. Where do you see a die crack? I see a scratch that leads to the chin.
