Found an unusual token for merchandise. Undated. General store owners were C.B. (Bryd) and S. D. (Sidney David) Mangus. Front Side: Good for 5 cents in general merchandise. Back Side: C.B. & S.D. Mangus Vesuvius, Va General Mdse. Anyone having any information please post it here. Thank you, Phil Harris
Hello, That token is unlisted in David Schenkman's "Virginia Tokens" (1980) That's not at all surprising, though. Seems that new VA merchant tokens are discovered fairly often. If you could post a picture, I might be able to estimate the time period from which it dates.
