Hello everyone, About 2 weeks ago I joined a website I never visited before called Mercari. I purchased a new crystal for my collection at a decent price and was satisfied with the purchase.. Vivianite Crystal This evening I decided to check for any "Mint Error" listings.. Wow.. What a bunch of garbage. They are just as bad as ebay and etsy Enjoy 1969 not a Doubled die Somebody's dog chewed this poor Cent Environmental toning damage Damaged plating More damaged copper plated zinc cent These and many more.. Newbies.. Please don't be fooled with this crap!
Crystal is pretty. Christmas green. It is sad how people take advantage of others. eBay, Etsy etc. I have never purchased a coin other than getting a roll now and then. I think there are a few here along with you I would check with before I would make a major purchase. Gosh I still have so much to go through, I do not dare to buy anything just yet lol. Thank you!
Thanks It has to be kept out of direct light and kept in cool storage. If I don't do that the crystal will darken and will no longer be as transparent
Truly amazing what UV lighting, sunlight, will do to so many things. Fabrics, furniture, paintings, pictures, crystals (new to me), carpeting, skin, eyes, wood, vinyl, paint, paper, and lots more, will fade, deteriorate, become brittle, burn, melt, distort, twist, and overall can be ruined. Must do everything we can to protect virtually everything from sunlight.
yeah lots and lots of copies and fake coins and fake slabs on mercari not a place I would recommend anyone buy coins, but I have bought a few crystals and other items through them.. more like etsy then ebay but not a place I would normaly recommend to anyone added note: Yeah just checked it was mercari i got my septarian geode from
My wife likes to go on policeauctions.com........picks up a few gems here and there and is satisfied with the quality and price on most of what she purchases. I checked out the numismatic products they have there.........way out and overpriced. Buyer be ware.
I see so many so-called "error" coins on ebay that are obvious PMD with the sellers asking for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. I report them to ebay but, sadly, they do nothing about it. I sure hope nobody falls for this stuff!
