Filling some holes in a folder with some "junk" dimes I've been buying for the past year. I came across this dime and the 3 has a weird line going up from it. Some suggest it's PMD, and it could very well be (I am by no means an expert) but if it was, that's an unusual mark I would think. Anyone see something like this before?
PMD. Something gouged the coin and pushed up the metal. When you see unusual raised metal around a recess or line, you can nearly guarantee that it was made by a PMD scratch or gouge
