I'm finding it kind of interesting that the price of Kennedy silver half dollars are not moving much higher despite the recent increase in silver prices. The melt value is now almost $6.80 but I'm still able to buy the silver proof coins for $6 and even less on ebay. What gives?

I expect that it's due to the fact that folks don't view Kennedy Half Dollars as "bullion".

The same can be said for Eisenhower 40% Silver Uncirculated and Proof coins.

It sounds like a good time to buy silver coins to me. I was buying silver kennedy's, walkers and franklins last year for $4-$6. Considering the issues with the US debt, the dollar is got to go lower and the price of gold and silver higher. Buy, baby, buy!!!

If you can get them for $6 or less (including postage) go for it!

silver has to keep going up though, because I'm getting 12x face max right now which would be right at $6.
