Another member recommended these Wayte Raymond style boards: http://meghrigsupplies.com/WAYTERAYMONDSTYLEBOARDS.html

So you put the coins in the board and then where? Someone said some hot part of the house they will be more active in toning with the coins. Anyone else had experience with Wayte Raymond style boards?

You should keep in mind that the sulfur content of the old Wayte Raymond boards will dissipate with time thus making the interaction with the coin metal ineffective.

pack them up tight, heat helps, but....

as Chris stated, the sulfur has dissipated over time.

    minor effect today.

Just put them in the board and wait 40 years.

I have seen results in months just like all silver tarnishes. Plus many of the holders are new with lots of sulfur; David Lange wrote a book on the various boards people have used.

Or you could take a chance and try this.
Don't think I would try it with one of my coins.

Why not just buy sulfur and sprinkle a little in the storage envelope?

I think the best thing to do is not do anything. Leave it alone, you are taking a big chance on screwing up a good coin.

I know. But then some just have to fool with their coins, you know? Personally, I can take toning or let it alone, I'm not a toning enthusiast.
