I posted this over on the Ancients Forum with no luck so here I am looking for your help. I have no idea about this coin. It was a curiosity for me at $9 shipped. To be honest, it was an accidental purchase a couple of months ago in which I did not mean to bid - oops. But oh well. Now I need to ID the coin. Any help will be appreciated. It does bear some resemblence to a short cross penny with a facing portrait on the obverse,a proper mediaeval man should be able to spot it. I'm just thinking British or French.
