I have a couple of people interested in identifying their medals and wanted to see if anyone could help out... This first one is described as being found by an old church. No other information was given.... This next one is described as follows: "I found it in a pond and it had been there for many years. Whatever it's made of it did not rust under water and is gold in color. I thought maybe the men on here were presidents. There's writing above each name, but its worn so bad I can only make out the word Alexander above the middle image. I would like to know what it is, who the men in the images are, and about when it was made." Photo is a bit blurry I know... Thanks in advance.
Do you have any specifcs on size and weight? I have a meeting with a medals dealer on Tuesday. I will be more than happy to take the pics and descriptions along and ask.
where abouts were these found ,State, county, or town would be helpful in trying to Identify them, The First one Is definitely a commemorative type belt buckle,Knowing what area it was found in may hold the clues to Identification.
That was my first thought also, but have seen a few broaches that have the simular clips on the reverse. That is why I asked for the size and weight.
