hi can someone tell me the difference between machine double and double die so I can tell what Im looking for? Im very new to collecting and can use your help. what is the difference in the value? also I have alot of coins that I think are very slightly doubled on liberty. When I look at them they look a little blurry to me. Is that what Im looking for? are slightly doubled worth keeping? how hard should I look? I look so hard sometimes my eyes bleed. am i looking to hard? thanks for your help. BILL
Hi Bill, Take a lookat this page. There are descriptions and photos of the various types of apparent doubling. It will probably take some re-reading. Good practice that when someone throws up a photo and asks if it "doubled", to go to the page and see if you can recognize the type from the photos.
