    Today MD finds, collection of 120 Roman nails and Ae rudes...

    With your metal dectector, by removing all these nails, you just wiped off all traces of something or some things made of wooden boards.

    Not necessarily so @GinoLR. There have been many small barrels/sacks of nails found in and around Roman building and military sites. Apparently, the military had a constant need for nails.

    Gino, I collected these nails for over 15 years, and almost all of them were on the surface...

    Nice collection. That top item with the loop, is that a clasp of some kind?
    Also what are those three odd shaped pieces in the bottom picture on top of those nails?
