Maybe mm?

    Wondered if this is an example of a mm error it's on a 79 Susan b anthony IMG_20170424_032455331.jpg

    No it's a error. There two types of mint marks for that.type 1 and type 2.Yours is a type 1,The type 2 has a clearer mint mark.

    Honestly I really don't know.But IMHO I think that those type1 mint marks are RPM'S.I have a ED's/early die state of that same SBA dollar and you can see a D under the S,But I maybe just seeing things,As they say you only see what you want too.

    SBA's are notorious for 'mushed' up MM's.

    There is nothing special about the MM on
    your dollar, from what I can see in the photos.

    Also could you please explain to me why the mint would use two different S mint marks for the same coin?

    No, there is no D under the S

    Mine also looks like a d and an s placed over eachother
