    Has anybody heard of FSG??

It looks like the seller is only selling FSG coins....
To me it looks over graded...what do y'all think?

I'd say some examples even look like they were chemically polished... Never heard of the grading company either.

Looking closely at the photo it appears that the top and bottom labels are attached to the outside of the holder and poorly designed. Pretty tacky and just not what you would expect from a professional grading service.

If that coin would have been in a PCGS NGC ANACS ICG slab I would have been bidding on it...(I think)
I think E-bay sellers seem to start grading Co. all the time now...I don't know why.

Wait a minute! I thought SGS was America's grading company. That is what their ebay auctions state!

Better get some SGS slabs as they will need to change their title!

the strange thing is that his shipping, returns, and feedback policies all seem to be good. (his feedback % is low, though)

usuallythose are an indication of a scammer, but this guy at least has a good return policy.

oh well, another one on my DO NOT BID list.

Couldn't resist. I had to buy a $500 MS67 FSG slabbed coin for only $12.95 from this seller. I'll post the results when I receive the coin. If this turns out good, I'm going to buy a bunch more!

In a similar vein, I recently bought an MS-67 Morgan ("Worth $7500!") graded by another fly-by-night certification "service", CRC (Certified Rare Coins), just to see what would happen (aka speculation). It came back from PCGS as AU-58, so the new grading service didn't do too badly: missed it only by nine grades. I was indeed surprised when an inquiry to the seller went unanswered.

Naw. I'm peddling it now just to get rid of it and reinvest whatever I can get out of it into something else, hopefully with a little less depreciation. I wrote it off as a lesson learned, the lessone being that CRC is just another ripoff in the same league (or maybe worse) than SGS.

FWIW, I sent a message off to internationalcoins who is selling a LOT of CRC coins asking him (ever so politely) where I might find Certified Rare Coins, implying that I might want to send some coins for grading (well, maybe I also implied that I thought CRC sucked). I did this on top of one of his auctions for a Morgan graded by CRC as MS-66. For some little reason which nags at the back of my neck, I don't really think I'm gonna get an answer back from him.

Well, I'm a little worried now. The seller guarantees the coin pictured is the coin he is selling, but he has another identical coin for sale and is using the same pictures. Oh, my...

First of all, you got to be kidding, aren't you? If your not, then I guess you may be in luck, as it appears that he has a bunch to sell you and they all look alike from the pictures. Can you immagine that?

Got the coin today, speedy delivery. Coin is FSG slabbed/graded MS67, I think it is a decent MS65, pretty much as the picture showed. Paid $12.95, which is a reasonable price for an MS65. I actually recieved the coin in the photo, too. Can't really complain because I got value for what I spent and wasn't really expecting an MS67 coin. I left good feedback but mentioned the coin was over graded. I don't think I'll be buying any more from this seller, though, and I wouldn't recommend to a novice collector who might think they are getting what is advertised instead of what they are paying for.

I haven't been able to post photos lately, when I get that fixed, I'll post a photo.

P.S. FSG means First Strike Grading
